1. Introduction
Scribe (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is a mobile application that converts novel manuscripts into screenplays using artificial intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
By using Scribe, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information:
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google. We use this to create and manage your Scribe account.
Your Content:
We store the manuscripts, screenplays, characters, scenes, locations, plot beats, notes, and coverage reports you create within the app. This content is associated with your account and stored securely on our servers.
If you import a document, we extract its text and store that. The uploaded file itself is not retained.
Payment Information:
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. We use RevenueCat to verify purchases and apply them to your account; RevenueCat receives your Scribe account identifier and details of the purchase. We never receive or store your card number or payment details — only confirmation that a transaction completed. 3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Create and manage your account
Store and retrieve your manuscripts and projects
Process your manuscript through our AI conversion service
Generate screenplay and coverage reports
Process payments for premium features
Respond to support requests
Improve and maintain the app
4. AI Processing
When you use Scribe’s conversion or coverage features, your manuscript content is sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI for processing. Anthropic’s privacy policy applies to this processing and can be found at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not use your manuscript content to train AI models.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Railway (railway.app) and MongoDB Atlas. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication tokens. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party services necessary to operate Scribe:
Google — for sign-in authentication
Anthropic — for AI manuscript processing
Google Play Billing — for processing purchases and subscriptions
RevenueCat — for verifying purchases and applying them to your account
Railway — for server hosting
MongoDB Atlas — for database storage
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and project data for as long as your account is active.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app: open your Library and choose Delete account. This is immediate and permanent — it removes your account, every project and its manuscript and screenplay text, characters, scenes, locations, plot beats, notes, coverage reports, and the purchase records we hold.
If you cannot open the app, email us at the address below from the address associated with your account and we will delete it for you within 30 days.
Deleting your Scribe account does not cancel an active subscription. Manage subscriptions in the Google Play Store.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and data
Export your content (manuscripts, screenplays, etc.)

9. Children’s Privacy
Scribe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy. Continued use of Scribe after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
